We’ll help you decide when to splurge, where to go for the finest experiences, and how to find the best travel value. We’ll also show you ways to savor some of the best of what the world has to offer at little or no cost. We want to share our favorite adventures—the ones we just had to write about—and hope to help you create your own Notable Travels.

Linda and Roger Fasteson are an award-winning travel journalism, photography, and videography team and produce feature stories, travel commentary, and food, wine, and cruise reviews.
You might find them shooting bison photos in the prairie, canoeing in an Amazon tributary, shopping the markets of Dakar, hot air ballooning over Albuquerque, riding the world’s most scenic or remote rail routes, cruising on luxury liners, working ships, and river boats, or captivated by anything from the sounds of Rotorua’s bubbling mud pools to the pageantry and grandeur as Queen Elizabeth opens Parliament. You’ll find them wherever there’s a notable adventure.
They are contributors to major newspapers, including the Boston Globe, are the travel features team for The Break, found in Sunday newspapers in the Northeast, and are freelance writers for numerous other print and online publications.
